I'm Courtney LaKroix — a passionate educator with over 13 years of experience and nearly 20 years of tutoring. My work has always been driven by a simple belief: every student deserves access to the kind of support that can change the trajectory of their life.
That belief is personal. My grandfather was illiterate, and both of my grandparents left school by the age of 12. I saw firsthand how a lack of education affects a person's opportunities and agency. That experience made me passionate about ensuring students don't face the same barriers — and it's why I bring my whole heart to every session.
I hold an MA in Education with a Literacy concentration from LMU and I'm currently pursuing my Ed.D at UCLA. I've taught middle and high school English, coached teachers across dozens of schools, and designed literacy programs that have measurably improved student outcomes across Los Angeles and San Francisco.
